Tarot and Your Birth Chart

Aurathea offers both a birth chart and a tarot practice, and it is worth being precise about how — and how much — the two connect, because the honest answer is: less than a tidy correspondence chart would suggest.

Your birth chart and a tarot draw are both mirrors Aurathea offers for the same purpose — reflection, not prediction — but they are not the same mirror, and Aurathea does not fuse them into a single correspondence system. Some historical schools of tarot, most notably the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, built formal card-to-planet and card-to-decan assignments as part of their own documented practice. That is real, and worth knowing — but it is the Golden Dawn's own system, not a fact about the cards that every tradition or every deck shares, and Aurathea does not present it as a universal key that unlocks your chart through your cards, or your cards through your chart.

What we do offer is the two practices read side by side, on your own terms. A tarot draw taken on the same day you read your chart can sit next to it as a second, independent reflection — a different tradition's image of a similar moment in your life, not a translation of one system into the other's vocabulary. If a card and a placement in your chart seem to echo the same theme, that resonance is yours to notice and sit with; Aurathea does not manufacture or assert the connection for you.

Astrology and tarot are genuinely separate traditions with separate histories, separate lineages of practitioners, and separate internal logics. Collapsing them into one correspondence system — treating the cards as an astrology chart in another notation — would flatten both traditions to make a tidier product feature, and it would assert connections neither tradition's own history actually claims. Aurathea would rather teach each tradition honestly and let you draw your own connections than hand you a system neither tradition built.

If you come to Aurathea for both your chart and your cards, read them as two separate invitations to reflect on the same life — not one system with two names. That is the more honest offer, and, we think, the more interesting one — two traditions each given the respect of being read on its own terms, rather than folded into a single feature for the sake of tidiness.
