How Aurathea Reads the Cards

Once your draw is entered, what does Aurathea actually do with it? This page exists to answer that plainly, on its own — not folded into another article as an aside, because the boundary it describes is too important to bury.

The single fact this page exists to state: Aurathea never generates your draw. Every card in your reading came from your own shuffle and your own hand — Aurathea supplies the card meanings, the spread structure, and the synthesis of card-in-position; it does not supply the entropy that decided which cards you hold. If a service produces the "random" draw for you and calls it yours, the chance is the service's, not yours, and the tradition's own claim to meaning does not survive the substitution.

Once your cards and their positions are entered, Aurathea draws on the accepted meaning of each card — upright or reversed — and synthesizes that meaning through the question each spread position asks, in the tone of voice you've chosen. That is the full extent of the capability: we read, we synthesize, we teach the tradition behind what you drew. We do not respond to your reading afterward, we do not review it, and no reading here stands in for a person on the other side considering your situation.

Teaching tarot well means stating its claims in its own terms: a centuries-old practice, seventy-eight cards carrying a documented — if occasionally invented — history, read today through decks and systems that themselves have named designers, artists, and lineages. We do not hedge that history to seem modest, and we do not inflate it to seem mystical. Every attribution in this track — a designer, an artist, a school of interpretation — is held to the same standard: documented fact stated as fact, tradition stated as tradition.

Aurathea will teach you the full deck, its lineages, its structure, and will read the cards you draw through the position you drew them into. Aurathea will not tell you what is going to happen to you. The cards you draw are an image to sit with — not a forecast, not an instruction, not a verdict. That boundary is the shape of the practice itself, and it is why the draw has to be yours.
