Descendant

The Descendant is the angle directly opposite the Ascendant in the birth chart, marking the beginning of the 7th house—the domain traditionally associated with committed relationships, partnerships, and “the other.” It represents the point on the western horizon where the Sun sets, symbolizing the threshold between the self and others.
